Requirements and procedure of the CPSA‑A exam

Step 1: Collect 70 credit points from the three competency areas

Das CPSA Advanced Level ist durch Trainingsmodule aus den drei Kompetenzbereichen Methodik, Technik und Kommunikation aufgebaut. Jedes Trainingsmodul vermittelt bestimmte Kompetenzen für die Teilnehmer dann entsprechende Credit Points erhalten (z.B. 10 CP Technik und 20 CP Methodik). Wenn Sie insgesamt 70 Credit Points aus allen drei Kompetenzbereichen vorweisen können, dürfen Sie sich zur CPSA-A Prüfung anmelden. Diese Voraussetzung erfüllen Sie in der Regel nach drei besuchten Trainings. Für die offizielle Teilnahmebestätigung mit dem Nachweis über die Credit Points muss Ihre Präsenzquote bei jedem Training mindestens 75% betragen.

Step 2: Check if you meet all the requirements

Für die Anmeldung zur CPSA Advanced Level Prüfung müssen Sie folgende Voraussetzungen erfüllen:

  • Abgeschlossene Zertifizierung zum Certified Professional for Software Architecture – Foundation Level (CPSA F®)
  •  Mind. 3 Jahre Vollzeit-Berufserfahrung in der IT-Branche und Beschreibung über Mitarbeit an Entwurf und Entwicklung von mindestens zwei IT-Systemen
  •  Mind. 70 CP aus den Kompetenzbereichen des CPSA-A Levels
  • Geheimhaltungsvereinbarung über die CPSA-A Prüfungsaufgabe
Step 3: Completing the exam task

Wenn Sie alle Voraussetzungen erfüllen, melden Sie sich direkt bei den anerkannten Zertifizierungsstellen für die CPSA Advanced Level Prüfung an. Sie erhalten dann Ihre Prüfungsaufgabe. Für die Bearbeitung haben Sie drei Monate Zeit. Der Umfang beträgt etwa 40 Arbeitsstunden und die Lösung muss dokumentiert werden. Nachdem Ihre Lösung fristgerecht bei der Zertifizierungsstelle eingegangen ist, wird sie von zwei Prüfern begutachtet.

Step 4: Oral defense of your solution

In einer mündlichen Verteidigung stellen Sie den Prüfern Ihre Lösung vor. Wenn danach bestätigt wird, dass Sie alle Voraussetzung erfüllen und die Prüfer Ihre Ausarbeitung und Verteidigung für gut befinden, erhalten Sie das Zertifikat zum Certified Professional for Software Architecture – Advanced Level (CPSA-A®). Die gesamte Prüfung kann auf Deutsch oder Englisch abgelegt werden.
