CPSA® Certifications at actIT – The Path to an Internationally Recognized Software Architecture Qualification

Companies from nearly all industries rely on iSAQB-accredited trainings from leading providers such asactIT to further educate entire project teams as well as individual employees in the field of software architecture. Worldwide, more than 20,000 professionals have successfully completed a certification from the CPSA® Program, proving their expertise in the process. The CPSA® Program includes the CPSA Foundation Level (CPSA‑F®) and the advanced CPSA Advanced Level (CPSA‑A®).
The CPSA Expert Level (CPSA‑E®), the highest certification level, is currently in preparation.

These certifications are not formal professional degrees, but an internationally recognized proof of skills and expertise in the field of software architecture, representing a valuable qualification in modern IT projects.

Fundamentals of Software Architecture (CPSA Foundation Level)

The CPSA Foundation Level is the ideal introduction to the world of software architecture. In our 3- to 4-day training accredited by the iSAQB, we provide you with solid knowledge and practical methods for successfully planning, documenting, and evaluating software architectures. You will learn the technical terminology and receive practical tools to ensure the quality assurance of small to medium-sized IT systems.

After completing the training, you will take a multiple-choice exam to obtain the internationally recognized Certified Professional for Software Architecture – Foundation Level (CPSA‑F®) certificate.

Advanced Competencies in Software Architecture (CPSA Advanced Level)

The Advanced Level is the second certification stage within the iSAQB CPSA program and provides in-depth professional development in the field of software architecture.
It comprises 17 specialized training modules across the competence areas of methodology, technology, and communication. This broad selection enables you to specifically expand your expertise in key areas such as architecture evaluation, cloud infrastructures, Domain-Driven Design, as well as essential soft skills and web architectures.

With each training you attend, participants earn Credit Points (CP) from the three competence areas.
Once you have accumulated at least 70 Credit Points, you qualify for the CPSA‑A certification examination, which is typically achieved after attending around three training modules.

To obtain the Certified Professional for Software Architecture – Advanced Level (CPSA‑A®) certificate,
you must submit a written assignment (similar to a term paper) after reaching the required Credit Points.
