Mahbouba: Software architecture expert

Mahbouba is a highly qualified software architect with over twenty years of experience in the IT industry. As managing director of ITech Progress GmbH, she brings extensive expertise in the management and strategic direction of IT projects.

Since 2003, she has been working as a consultant and trainer for software and enterprise architecture and has held leading roles in architecture consulting for renowned public authorities. Today, her focus is on cloud-native architectures, AI-supported systems, microservices, and zero-trust security concepts.

She began her career as a specialist in Java and enterprise technologies, but has continuously developed her skills and now has extensive experience in the architecture of highly scalable and secure software systems.

Mahbouba is active in the International Software Architecture Qualification Board (iSAQB) and is curator of the Software Architecture for AI Systems (SWARC4AI) module, which teaches architects the methodological and technical fundamentals of designing AI-based software. She also supports international universities in training future software architects with a focus on cloud computing, AI, and modern architecture patterns.

Mahbouba led the development of a standardized, company-wide application architecture for renowned public authorities and supported the implementation of an integrated Internet portal that seamlessly connects digital administrative services and customer access.
She is the author of the book “Basiswissen für Softwarearchitekten” (Basic Knowledge for Software Architects), which is considered a key reference for professionals in software architecture.
Since 2021, Mahbouba has been a member of the advisory board of the Department of Computer Science at Worms University of Applied Sciences as an industry representative. She was appointed to the advisory board for the Applied Computer Science and Mobile Computing programs and supports the university in designing the content of the teaching programs.
