Mahbouba

Mahbouba is a highly qualified software architect with over twenty years of experience in the IT industry. As Managing Director of ITech Progress GmbH, she brings extensive expertise in leading and strategically shaping IT projects.

Since 2003, she has been working as a consultant and trainer for software and operational architecture, taking on leadership roles in architectural consulting for well‑known public authorities. Today, her focus lies on cloud‑native architectures, AI‑supported systems, microservices, and zero‑trust security concepts.

She began her career as a specialist in Java and enterprise technologies but has continuously evolved, gaining comprehensive experience in architecting highly scalable and secure software systems.

Mahbouba is actively involved in the International Software Architecture Qualification Board (iSAQB) and serves as curator of the module *Software Architecture for AI Systems (SWARC4AI)*, which equips architects with the methodological and technical foundations for designing AI‑based software.
She also supports international universities in educating future software architects, with a focus on cloud computing, AI, and modern architectural patterns.

• Mahbouba led the development of a standardized, company‑wide application architecture for prominent public authorities and supported the implementation of an integrated internet portal that seamlessly connects digital administrative services and customer access.
• She is the author of the book “Basiswissen für Softwarearchitekten,” which is regarded as a key reference for professionals in software architecture.
• Since 2021, Mahbouba has been a business representative on the advisory board of the Computer Science Department at Worms University of Applied Sciences. She was appointed to the advisory committee for the Applied Computer Science and Mobile Computing degree programs and supports the university in shaping the content of its curricula.
